There are a total of fifteen outdoor rinks and skating pads maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department. Community groups, organizations and individuals all take advantage of these facilities by participating in varied activities including hockey, skating, shinny and group games.
East End Outdoor Rink: 9th Ave. N.E. & Ominica St. E.
Elgin Park Skating Pad: 8th Ave. N.W. & Hall St. W.
The City of Moose Jaw partnered with the local Community Associations to offer a supervised Outdoor Rink Program January 2-February 28, 2006. These facilities had warm up shelters which were open during the following times(weather permitting):
Monday-Thursday
6:30pm - 9:00pm
Saturday and Sunday
1:00pm - 4:00pm.

Elgin Park Outdoor Rink: 8th Ave. N.W. & Hall St. W.
Kinfield Outdoor Rink: 100 Block Grandview St. W.
Moose Square Outdoor Rink: 600 Stadacona St. W.
Smith Park Outdoor Rink: 1200 Block Hastings St.
Sunningdale Outdoor Rink: Daffodil Dr.
West End Outdoor Rink: 10th Ave. N.W. & Athabasca St. W.
Lights are automatically turned on from 5:00 - 10:30 p.m. everyday.
A 400 metre skating oval in Kiwanis River Park is also available for public use. Enjoy a leisurely skate around the track in a beautiful park setting. Challenge a speed skater to a race or watch provincial caliber athletes compete in the various meets that are held at the site throughout the year.
The Skating Oval has a heated shelter that is open to the public during the times the Moose Jaw Speed Skating Club practices, which are listed below:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays 4:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Hockey sticks and pets are not permitted on the Oval.
During these times, the public is asked to use the inside track on the Oval, so the Club can practice on the outside.
