The Parks and Recreation Department employs a horticulturist to provide the community with information on a range of topics from gardening techniques, to insect and pest identification. The horticulturist works out of the Parks and Recreation office from mid-May to mid-September.
Information on controlling the spread of plant diseases, updates on Dutch Elm disease and banding practices to reduce canker worm infestation can be obtained from our Horticulturist.
